Best of Badin Festival
BEST OF BADIN FESTIVAL - The 17th Annual BEST OF BADIN Festival, is scheduled to be held Friday and Saturday September 16-17, 2011 in Badin, North Carolina. Each year on the third weekend in September the Town of Badin, hosts a celebration of the community's origins, as they welcome fall with a festival featuring an array of vendors, games, music, food and more. First time visitors are taken by the simple, relaxed atmosphere of our town. Old timers marvel at the freshness of each year's offerings, as memories from long ago festivals are revisited.
In keeping with the idea of community unity, all events are open to the general public. Organizers have sought to provide events that appeal to all age groups, and to people with varying interests. There will be Tours of Narrows Dam, a kids play area featuring a variety of inflatables, there will be Friday Night Street Dancing, and Live Bands will offer a variety of music that will be featured during the day and throughout the evening.
